The TLX and ILX are beautiful.

Kinja'd!!!

Probably the two most attractive Acuras ever built.

Kinja'd!!!

I just wish the front of the NSX looked half as good.

Kinja'd!!!

We can probably blame its prolonged development. Still better than this though.

Kinja'd!!!

Beauty turned to brashness so quickly.

I do think the new MDX looks significantly better than the previous gen. However, regarding the former: there is one and only one modern Acura for me:

EDIT: fuck kinja. TLDR, TSX Wagon

The last good looking sedan Acura made was the 2004-2008

Si. Photos haven’t worked for me in comments on a laptop in days. Mobile still works. Actually, mobile formats better too. Quite the flip flop when you think about it.

I do like the TSX. It is an attractive car. The sleek aggression of the thing is great, but I don’t think I’d call it beautiful. Too blocky and modern for that.

I’ll agree with the TLX but the ILX has way too much front overhang for me. I wish Acura made a TLX Coupe and I wish they had of split the difference between the final form of the old grill and the new grill of the MDX. Something like the Galpin TLX from SEMA.

That is a good looking car. Those taillights are a shame, though.

That’s interesting, as many issues as people have with Kinja, I feel like I have very few issues.

I guess if you want to be fair, there are very few vehicles I like that I’d ever describe as “beautiful,” except maybe the McLaren F1.

SH-AWD and a DCT.

Agreed on the grill though. I understand that they have to iterate, I just wish they hadn’t gone quite so crazy with the new look.

That’s a good one, though I think the 918 is prettier. They’re both amazing.

That coupe looks good! An Acura CLX would sell well, especially if they offer a manual transmission.

The ILX had a 6-speed stick for a while, but they killed it. Same thing with the Buick Verano (which I’m also a fan of). Probably because no one bought them.

Isn’t Honda working on a three clutch transmission? That would be epic in one of those.

The ILX and Verano 6-speed were also priced too high and not available on the base model.

An ILX 2.0 manual would sell fine, especially if it started around 20k. Same with the Verano. But the Verano was turbo-only, and the manual ILX was 2.4-only. These cost over 30k, which is too much for an entry level luxury car.

Sarcasm aside, I do like those Acuras, but I like the ones I posted more.

So on every other car with a stick everyone complains that you can’t get nice features with a stick because upper trim levels are auto only. Then Acura and Buick actually offer a stick in their top trim levels and nobody buys one because it’s too expensive.

How ironic.

not really

It’s either the base models of cheap cars, or fully-load luxury cars. No middle ground. For example, the higher models of the regular cars, and the base model luxury cars.

Top trim of luxury car - manual available

base trim luxury car - no manual

top trim regular car - no manual

base model regular car - manual available
